Youth ages 13 to 17
(Parents or Guardians can attend for an additional $25 fee)
WHaT
A STEM-focused hot air ballooning-oriented day camp for teens interested in hands-on experience and exposure to hot air ballooning. Learn more HERE
WHEN
Thursday, August 25th, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Student + Guardian check-in at Utah Feild House. Guardians must sign a permission waiver in person.
Friday, August 26th, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Hot Air Balloon Day Camp at the Uintah Community Center and Western Park
Saturday, August 27th, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

NO OVERNIGHT LODGING OR FUNCTIONS
WHERE
The camp takes place at the Uintah Community Center fields and the Western Park.
WHY
Educate, inspire, and train the next generation in hot air ballooning!
HOW MUCH
$175 per youth camper
Parents can accompany their youth for an additional $25.
Tuition includes meals (breakfast and lunch), balloon activities, field trips, and all the fun.

NO prior BALLOON EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
MENTORS
Students will be mentored by FAA Certified Commercial pilots and staff. They focus on providing training and learning experiences in a safe, controlled environment.
All staff is background checked.
Students will learn:
Flight Planning
Weather Analysis
Aircraft Set-up
Flight Operation Requirements
Tethering and flights in a hot air balloon
(weather permitting)
